Foreign Minister Stubb to meet with Israeli Foreign Minister Lieberman

Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb has a meeting today, Monday, 22 March, with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman of Israel. The Foreign Ministers are meeting at Minister Lieberman’s initiative, in conjunction with the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council being held in Brussels.

Foreign Minister Lieberman is in Brussels, where he had been intending to attend the EU–Israel Association Council meeting on Tuesday, 23 March. The EU and Israel have agreed, however, to postpone the Association Council meeting to a later date.

This is the first meeting between Foreign Minister Stubb and Foreign Minister Lieberman. The ministers will discuss the Middle East Peace Process and other current affairs pertaining to the region.
