The publication tells about the impacts of EU membership on the Åland Islands. Given that the islands form an autonomous province of Finland and that they enjoy a special status, they cannot directly be compared with the rest of the country. This updated edition of the publication deals with the challenges and threat scenarios that the Åland Islands are facing today, 18 months after joining the EU. The most recent opinion poll on the EU is also discussed in the publication.
